East Coast Gun Sales - How to buy a gun online

How To Buy a Gun Online

Firearms may only be shipped to a licensed dealer (FFL Holder).  Some items may not be legal in your state. Read below for instructions on how to complete your purchase within the law.
You do not have to be a licensed dealer to buy a firearm. If you are not a licensed dealer (also called an FFL holder), you must make arrangements with an FFL holder in your area to receive the item and transfer it to you. Anyone who is involved in the sale or distribution of firearms is an FFL holder, including gun shops, gun ranges, gunsmiths, etc.

We strongly recommend that you contact your local FFL holder before purchasing. By doing this, you can verify that all county, state and federal laws will be observed. You also must be able to pass a background check.

It is your responsibility to make sure that you comply with the laws of your city, county and state.  If you are unsure of the regulations regarding purchasing a gun in your state, please consult the NRA’s Federal and State Firearm Laws. The ATF has also compiled a listing of State Laws and Published Ordinances for Firearms

If you are not an FFL Holder, follow these steps:
  • Contact someone in your area who has a Federal Firearms License (FFL) and let them know that you would like to transfer a firearm from East Coast Gun Sales. Most FFL holders will transfer your firearms for a small fee.
  • The FFL holder will email, fax or mail a signed copy of their license to us
  • The FFL must be a signed copy, and must have the customer's full name printed on it. They can fax it to us at 814-695-4721, email it to us at info@eastcoastgunsales.com or mail it to us at:
